WWU needs your help ... [ view complete campaign brochure (pdf) ]
to build the new centerpiece of our recreation and athletic programs: an all-weather, fully lighted, multi-purpose field that will support our NCAA intercollegiate soccer programs, athletic club teams, intramural programs, and the Whatcom county community.

The Need
Did you know that nearly 65% of Western's student body participates in club, intramural or NCAA II athletic team activities and/or competition?

Did you know that in all of Whatcom County, there are only three year-round, multi-use competition fields, and only two are usable for regulation soccer competition? The existing demand beyond WWU's student body includes:
  • 4,700 registered youth and adult soccer players
  • 12 high school soccer teams and Community College
The Intent
By building a multi-purpose field, we will:
  • Create spirit, enhance campus pride and instill excitement by bringing WWU soccer home -- where it belongs.
  • Enhance our ability to attract, recruit, and retain students.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles which are vital to a successful student body; active bodies create active minds.
Why Now?
There are times when leaders are called upond to step up and say, "YES. You can count on me."

This is one of those times.
To declare your commitment.
To demonstrate your leadership.
To make your mark.
TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED ON.
